Nikon is most well known for HTML clipboarddigital camera its reputation as a world leader in imaging products, and its technologies continue to play a significant role in defining the photographic industry. Nikon’s digital SLR cameras continue to revolutionize photography for professional photographers and photojournalists.
The latest Nikon digital SLR camera is Nikon D700. With a 12.1 megapixel full-frame sensor, the D700 employs an FX-format CMOS image sensor with an area of 36.0mm (h) x 23.9mm (v). It offers an extremely wide sensitivity range of ISO 200 to 6400 and delivers extraordinary image quality at low sensitivity settings, while also delivering outstandingly low-noise characteristics at ISO settings as high as 6400. The ultrahigh-definition [920,000-dot VGA (640 x 480)], 3-inch LCD monitor with tempered glass provides a 170° viewing angle. Featuring a startup time of approximately 0.12 second, and a shutter release time lag of only 40 ms, the D700 incorporates a Multi-CAM 3500FX autofocus sensor module featuring 51 AF points. The continuous shooting speed is up to 5 frames per second with the included Rechargeable Li-on Battery EN-EL3e, and up to 8 fps when using the optional Multi-Power Battery Pack MB-D10 and Rechargeable Li-on Battery EN-EL4a/4 or eight AA-size batteries. Nikon D700 is the top model in Nikon's line of DSLRs.
Another SLR from Nikon is Nikon D300. A new CMOS sensor with twelve megapixels, a new auto-focus sensor with 51-points (15 of which are cross-type sensitive), the D300 is a faithful, eager, and ingenious servant to serious photographer. Six frames per second continuous shooting (or eight frames per second with a battery pack), Self-cleaning sensor unit (low-pass filter vibration), Compact Flash UDMA support, Live View with either phase detect (mirror up/down) or contrast detect Auto Focus and the mighty impressive 3.0" 922,000 pixel LCD monitor (HDMI video output) are the most noticeable features.
Nikon D3 is also a high praised camera from Nikon. With the introduction last August of the new 'FX format' D3, featuring a 36 x 23.9 mm 12.1 megapixel CMOS sensor as well as a vast array of new features, Nikon D3 notches above previous single digital Nikon DSLRs. Important headline improvements include high sensitivity support by default, up to ISO 6400 with 25600 available as a boost option, 14-bit A/D conversion, a new standard image processor, a new shutter, new auto focus sensor, focus tracking by color, nine frames per second continuous, dual compact flash support, DX lens support (albeit at lower resolution) with automatic cropping and a 3.0" 922,000 pixel LCD monitor (which it has to be said is lovely). The Nikon D3 is an upgrade from previous Nikon DSLRs.
If you are a professional photographer, you will find the above three are worthy to buy.
